Although the petition deadline is the second week of the term prior to graudation, spring term graduates should apply during fall term to ensure early review and schedule planning.
After you submit you Petition for Graduation, an advisor will be in touch with you

It's one of the most exciting times of the year. Graduation is a great time to celebrate your success. TVCC offers two ceremonies each June - one for students who have earned a certificate or degree, and another for students who have earned a GED.

Commencement & Graduation
What's the difference?
Graduation is when a student is awarded a degree or certificate once they have satisfied all certificate or degree requirements as verified by Student Services. After the verification process, the certificate or diploma is printed, mailed and posted to the student's TVCC transcript. The mailing and posting process for certificates and diplomas usually takes 6 to 8 weeks after term grades are recorded.
Commencement is a ceremony held each June that allows students, family and friends to celebrate the student's academic accomplsihemnts. Participation in the ceremony does not mean the student has graduated and students do not receive a certificate or diploma at Commencement.
