Welcome to the Writing Lab

We are here to help!

NOTICE: Please use the "Online Writing Lab Zoom Session" button below to connect via Zoom to a tutor.

The Writing Lab is a place where students can receive targeted help with any writing projects. This includes:

  • Writing assignments for any class
  • Speeches
  • Scholarship essays
  • Application letters
  • Much, much more!

The Lab is also available to students who just need a quiet place to write or to study.

All students are welcome to use the Writing Lab - science majors, history majors, education majors, CTE majors, even those students who haven't declared a major yet! No appointments are necessary.

 Policies

The Writing Lab follows all TVCC campus policies. We ask that students refrain from talking on cellphones, and bringing children or non-service animals to the Lab.

Always be courteous of others while using the lab computers. Our number of computers is limited, so do not use them for social media and other non-paper related work. Please do not conduct group work in the lab.

Mission

The Writing Lab is committed to TVCC's core theme of Fostering Educational Success. We strive to help students develop their independent writing skills through highly individualized and personal writing instruction.
