Burns Center

The Harney County Outreach Center is located in Burns, next to the high school on Highway 20.  It provides the opportunity for students to attend college classes through Distance Education to earn a degree or to update their current skills.  The Outreach Center also offers classes in Adult Basic Education and GED preparation.

Scholarships and financial aid are available for qualifying students.  Students have the option of taking classes at Treasure Valley Community College and Eastern Oregon University.

The Harney County Outreach Center enjoys significant support from the local community. Each year, the BLM Burns District donates a horse from the herd it manages to be raffled at the Harney County Fair to benefit scholarship funds for Harney County students.  In addition, community hosts a number of other fundraisers throughout the year which help raise funds for local students to attend TVCC.
