New Student Orientation
Public Information Office
On Friday, September 24, over 100 new students attended the TVCC New Student Orientation. Students and their families were treated to a meet and greet hosted by the TVCC Foundation, followed by a welcome address and informational sessions to learn more about the services TVCC offers. College staff had the opportunity to visit with parents, families, students, and hand out Foundation scholarship information, gift cards, and delicious snacks. Foundation Executive Director Cathy Yasuda commended Foundation board members Dave Bean and Jaime Grimaldo for helping with the reception along with TVCC President Young and Board of Education member Betty Carter. Yasuda also expressed her appreciation to Cheryl Cruson from Oregon Trail Hobbies for her contribution of five $10 gift cards as a raffle to attendees. A special thank you was also provided to Ontario Mayor Riley Hill and Chamber of Commerce CEO John Breidenbach for welcoming everyone to the orientation. It was a great day and a great introduction to the start of Fall Quarter.
