TVCC Celebrates Black History Month

Treasure Valley Community College will host a Black History Month keynote address entitled “From the Streets to the Stage” by Monti Washington on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

The event begins at 7 p.m. in Weese 110 on the Ontario campus. The same program will be held at the Caldwell Center on Tuesday, February 5th at 3:00PM in Room 211. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend this inspirational event. Recognized as "America's Adversity Coach" for his ability to show students how to turn any adversity into real life success, Monti will show you how any student can achieve, overcome, and turn obstacles on campus into real life success.

Washington will share how he overcame adversity in his life to obtain two college degrees and become a state basketball champion, award-winning poet, McDonald’s All-America nominee, nationally-recognized actor and co-founder of non-profit organization Truality.org.
