CTE Listening Sessions planned
TVCC invites community, industry to provide input on new CTE building design
As Treasure Valley Community College begins the process of renovating the existing Vo-Tech building into the new, state-of-the-art Career & Technical Education (CTE) Center, the community is invited to provide input and information about the new project.
TVCC has received $6 million in funding from the State of Oregon and the US Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA), to expand and update the current CTE facility. As part of TVCC’s grant application to EDA, four CTE programs were identified as providing the core for the new CTE Center: Agriculture, Natural Resources, Industrial Manufacturing and Controls, and Welding.
As part of the initial programming phase of designing the new CTE Center, the architectural firm selected for the project, CTA, will also participate in these community sessions to solicit input from interested stakeholders. These sessions are critical to ensuring the architects have the information to design the CTE Center to meet the needs of both TVCC and our industrial and K-12 partners.
The first two sessions, will be specifically for the Advisory Committees of the four
programs identified in the grant, as well as our partnership with Treasure Valley
Tech. If you can participate in one of these two sessions, we would greatly appreciate
· Tuesday, October 9th, at 12 noon in Weese Room 110.
· Tuesday October 9th, at 6 pm in Weese Room 110.
TVCC will also host another General Listening session, open to the public on:
· Monday, October 22nd, at 6 pm in Weese Room 110.
We hope you will consider participating in one of the sessions. Please let us know if you have any questions. For more information contact Cathy Yasuda at email@example.com.
