TVCC names new Athletic Director

Andy Ward

Treasure Valley Community College has selected Andy Ward as its new athletic director. Ward is expected to take the reins of the Chukar athletic program on Dec. 5. He replaces Ed Aronson who is retiring in December after more than 10 years as TVCC’s Director of Athletics.

Ward brings over 22 years of athletic and higher education experience to TVCC. He is currently the associate head men’s basketball coach at Idaho State University in Pocatello. Prior to that, he served as Athletic Director and Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Northwest College in Powell, Wyo.

“I am excited to have Andy join our team,” TVCC President Dana Young said. “He brings his experience and expertise as a coach and an athletic administrator, as well as his dedication to student success, both on the court and in the classroom. I have no doubt he will help advance our vision for students and athletic opportunities at TVCC.”

Ward holds a bachelor’s degree in physical education from Southern Utah University and is pursuing a master’s degree in sports administration from the United State Sports Academy.
