COVID-19 Update

March 26, 2020

Hope you are doing well. Here's today's update:

Students: Are you ready for virtual classrooms? “Zoom in with Martha” was a great test run. Thank you to everyone who participated! If you did not take part today, please do so tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and test your device and Zoom capabilities. Go to
Please like and check out TVCC’s Facebook Page for more information.

Students and Employees: We know many of you live in Idaho and are wondering what the Executive Order issued yesterday means. While we are requiring employees to work off campus if at all possible, we understand you may need to travel to the College on occasion. You are allowed to do so under both the Idaho and Oregon orders. Idaho has provided a poster outlining what is and is not allowed here.

Travel  to and from Oregon and Idaho is allowed. For more information see this local information:
Argus Observer  Stay at Home Order for Idaho
Malheur Enterprise Rumors About Border Closure Unfounded

Thank you to our local papers for lifting the subscription requirements for these important stories.

Supervisors and Managers: Remember – the goal is to get your staff off campus and working from home or other remote location. Work with your employees to achieve this goal! You may need to update your employee’s work from home hours. This is a world-wide pandemic and Idaho and Oregon are now both under versions of a stay-at-home order. You must take this seriously as you are obligated under both federal and state law to provide a safe working environment.

Open positions: All open positions need to be approved by the A-Team, even if they have previously been approved. Talk to your Vice President to ensure the matter is brought before the A-Team for new approval. Please try to utilize employees who have had their hours reduced before hiring new employees. If you have questions, contact Anne-Marie Kelso at

Employees: We have additional information posted on Tele-Health services. Look at what’s available here

# StayHomeStayHealthy: Avoid crowds as much you can. Try to avoid the desire to run out and buy toilet paper, dried beans and flour (unless you really need them of course!) If we all comply with rules, this virus will stop spreading and we can return to our regular schedules and lives!

Campus Buildings: We are OPEN but are limiting public access to campus buildings. Closed building will be posted as closed. Please do not enter these buildings (even if you have keys - and don't ask anyone else to open these buildings for you) without permission since we are trying to limit access to enable us to prioritize cleaning during this time.Click here to find the most updated information
