In accordance with Governor Brown’s Executive Order, TVCC is now allowed to begin planning for reopening to in-person instruction for Fall 2020. The college is open but still has limited on-campus operations and services during Summer 2020. Register early to reserve a seat for in-person classes this fall. TVCC employee tests positive for covid-19

We learned today that a Treasure Valley Community College employee has tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID- 19). We are sharing this message with all members of the community to provide awareness and understanding of what it means that a case has been confirmed at the College.

The employee visited the switchboard area in Barber Hall and the Science Center but self-reports that all protocols (face coverings, social distancing) were followed.  The employee has not been on campus since July 16.

The employee is currently self-quarantined at home, following the guidance of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Since learning of the confirmed case, TVCC has done the following:

  • TVCC is communicating with those on campus believed to have had contact with the employee.
  • The college is completing a thorough cleaning of the buildings and classes where the employee visited.
  • We are supporting the employee, ensuring they have the resources they need. We wish them well and will provide assistance during this isolation.

We urge every member of our community to continue adhering to basic health and cleaning habits to help prevent contracting and spreading illnesses.

The college is actively monitoring COVID-19 issues and continuing to follow the guidance of local authorities and the CDC. We greatly appreciate our community’s continued care for each other, and your willingness to navigate the many disruptions to protect the health and safety of our college. We will continue to update our webpages as developments occur.

As a reminder, if you test postive for COVID-19, please contact Anne-Marie Kelso at for emplyee assistance.
