Ogami named interim soccer coach
Coach Clifton Bush, head coach for TVCC women's soccer, has resigned after one season with the Chukars. Coach Bush has accepted an assistant coaching job with women's soccer at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, and will join Pacific later this month.
TVCC will begin the search for a new head coach later this month. Assistant coach Brock Ogami will take over as Interim Head Coach for the Chukars while TVCC begins the search. Ogami is from the Boise Valley and played college soccer for Walla Walla CC and NNU. Ogami's previous coaching experience includes one year Varsity at Meridian High School and five summers with high school club teams in the Boise area.
During his first year (2012) as a collegiate head coach, Coach Bush lead the Chukars to a 8-10-1 overall record and 7-8-1 in league play, and a berth in the NWAACC playoffs, losing in the first round to Lane CC. "Coach Bush will be missed. He did a great job coming in and leading his team to the playoffs," commented Athletics Director Ed Aronson. "We want to wish Coach Bush the best of luck and success up at Pacific," added Aronson.
The position announcement for head coach will be posted on the college website at www.tvcc.cc
