Midori Komoto Art Exhibit
The TVCC Foundation invites you to a special reception in the Takami Art Gallery on Thursday, May 3rd from 5-7 p.m. to kick off a special exhibit by long time Ontario resident Midori Komoto. This wife, mother and community volunteer passed away in 2014. Midori was able to nurture her lifelong love by taking numerous art classes in the early years of the college. This showing is a display of her multi-artistic talent and features oil paintings, watercolor, sketches, stained glass, calligraphy, and pottery pieces.
In addition, Midori's family has donated several pieces of art work to the Foundation that have significant value to TVCC and will be included in this display. A beautiful oil painting by Pete Stark, a longtime former TVCC Art Instructor will be shown along with a watercolor by Alice Voris, the wife of the first TVCC President Dr. Eugene Voris. We are grateful to Bob and Janet Komoto for sharing Midori's passion for art and for their continued support of the Foundation and the students we serve.
This wonderful collection of artwork will also be on display in the gallery throughout the summer.
