New Vice President of Student Services selected
Treasure Valley Community College has selected Brad Hammond as the new Vice President of Student Services.
Hammond currently works as the Registrar, Admissions and Judicial Affairs Director at Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming. He has been employed by Northwest College since 2000, including working as the Enrollment Services Counselor and Coordinator of Prospective Students and On-Campus Activities. Hammond has a B.A. from Northeastern State University and an M.Ed from Concordia University. He currently resides in Powell, Wyoming.
"Brad brings experience with enrollment management, athletics and student programs which is critical to our success at TVCC," TVCC President Dana Young said. "His expertise in student records and recruitment strategies will be instrumental in helping provide leadership on current initiatives, including our new enrollment plans, outreach efforts and registration goals."
"We are excited about this next year and the enthusiasm and dedication Brad will bring to TVCC," Young added.
Hammond is expected to join the College on October 16, 2017. Although he won't move to Ontario until October, he is planning to be on campus during TVCC's In-Service activities and fall New Student Orientation from Sept. 19-21 to meet staff and students.
The VPSS position was vacated in June following the departure of Michelle McKay, Interim Vice President of Student Services, who chose to not to apply for the permanent position at the College. The VPSS oversees admissions, recruiting, enrollment management, financial aid, residential life, athletics and student programs.
Cathy Yasuda, Executive Director of the TVCC Foundation, has also been serving as Acting Vice President of Student Services since July. Yasuda will continue assisting until Hammond joins the College in October.
