Suicide Prevention Event

Join TVCC as we work to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention on January 25, 2018. TVCC invites the community to attend a compelling event at 7 pm in the Four RIvers Cultural Center. This is a free event and the community is welcome.

In September of 2000, Kevin Hines leapt off the Golden Gate Bridge, a method of suicide attempt that has resulted in the death of most of the 2,000 people that have made that same jump since the bridge was erected in 1937. A jump that Kevin now describes as “a jump of instant regret.â€� 

Kevin Hines is one of the thirty-six people to have survived the fall, and is now sharing his story to advocate the importance of suicide prevention and mental health. We are honored to have Kevin Hines speaking at Treasure Valley Community College this month.A sneak-peek can be found here:
