The TVCC Library maintains a collection of several thousand electronic books which can be accessed online from anywhere. Simply enter your topic in the search box below.
What types of eBooks are available? Our collection is a phenomenal collection of current academic titles covering all topics taught at TVCC. This collection is for research and reference. We do not have fiction books or popular books. However, we do take suggestions so if there are books you would like to see available in eBook format, please let us know.
How do I access eBooks? Once you click on the eBook link, you will be asked to login. As these titles are available only to TVCC students and staff, you will have to get the login information from the Library staff.
Can I download eBooks on my Kindle, iPad, or Nook? Yes! You can access and download our eBooks from anywhere to any device. To easily download to a mobile device, we highly recommend using the eBook app. Here's how to get the app.
Are there other digital books available? Yes. For all non-copyrighted works such as Jane Austen or Shakespeare, the Project Gutenberg site has free downloadable ebooks. There are several thousand books available here, so we highly recommend browsing this site. For mobile devices, use this link. Project Gutenberg also has a sister site which hosts free downloadable audiobooks. If you are taking a literature class here at TVCC and prefer audio, this is the site for you.
What else is there for audiobook fans? The Library has a fabulous and constantly growing audiobook collection available for checkout. We carry titles on CD, MP3 CDs, and Playaway formats. Haven't heard of a Playaway before? Check it out here.
With the TVCC Library, you can read or listen anywhere, any time.
