Books are usually available a month before a term starts. Products like pens, paper, batteries, art supplies, backpacks and computer disks can be purchased at the store, as well as TVCC-branded t-shirts, sweatshirts, caps and other apparel. The TVCC Bookstore carries a wide variety of supplies and text books. The store is located on the south side of the Four Rivers Cultural Center adjacent to the Student Services office. The bookstore offers extended hours during the first week of registration. You may reach the bookstore by phone during regular hours by calling (541) 881-5750. The Caldwell Bookstore is located on the main level and can be reached at 208-455-6832.
Hours are extended during the first week of classes.
Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday
The TVCC Bookstore orders and stocks all instructional textbooks for the convenience of students. Books are available to students for purchase prior to the start of each term. If students choose to obtain textbooks by other means, instructors are under no obligation to accommodate students because of shipping delays or other problems associated with acquiring textbooks from other sources. It is the student's responsibility to have required books for the first day of class regardless of how the books are obtained.
Textbook publishers have strict policies for returns. This determines the bookstore's sales policy, which is as follows:
All textbook sales are final, unless a class is dropped within the first two weeks of the quarter. A full refund will be given if books are returned with:
- No names or marks in them
- Cash register receipt
- Add/Drop slip
Deadlines on the refund policy are posted. Students are advised to keep all sales slips. The drop slip and sales receipt are required to protect all parties involved and to help eliminate refunds paid on stolen or lost books. All sales of workbooks, study aids, lab manuals, consumable books and key notes are final. Any defective book will be replaced free of charge. Return it as soon as possible.
