Treasure Valley Community College offers an Associate of Arts Degree (Oregon and Idaho Transfer) degree which is a college transfer degree designed for students who intend to transfer for completion of a bachelor's degree at a four-year college or university. Completion of this degree can lead to junior standing to any student admitted to a college or university in the Oregon State System of Higher Education.
The Associate of Science Degree is designed for students planning on transferring to a four year institution in order to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree. This degree does not block transfer to Oregon colleges but will transfer to Idaho colleges.
The Associate of Applied Science Degree is a program of study which emphasizes professional technical classes and prepares the graduate for entry-level employment in a specific career field.
The science department supports all of these degrees by offering a wide variety of science courses designed to fulfill the needs of students entering various fields of study. We emphasize critical analysis skills, logical problem solving and collaborative group projects.
The Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer Degree (AAOT) is designed for students who want to earn a two-year degree in order to transfer to a four-year college of university. The first two years of college work are accomplished at the community college level, transfer as a block, and are accepted as meeting the freshman and sophomore requirements at all public Oregon universities. This degree enables the student to meet all lower division general education requirements and attain junior standing for registration purposes.
