Rebekah Carter studied Piano Performance with Dr. Peter Mack and Early Music Harpsichord with Jillon Stoppels Dupree at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. She has taught piano lessons in her private studio for more than11 years, currently maintaining 36 students. In 2014, Rebekah moved to the Treasure Valley area from Portland, Oregon, where she taught privately and through Park Place Music Academy, accompanied for several high schools, and performed with the Cascadia String Quartet. In 2010, she was a featured soloist for the Mildred Hill Concert Series in Port Orford, Oregon.
Rebekah is a certified teacher with the Oregon Music Teachers Association, and has served as President of the Snake River Valley Music Teachers Association since 2015. This year, Rebekah was awarded the opportunity to further her own musical studies through the Tholen Fellowship Grant to study privately with concert pianist, Alexander Shtarkman, of the Peabody Institute.
Passing on her love for music is Rebekah's passion, and she looks forward to doing so within TVCC's Music Department.
