The Art Department offers lower division courses leading to an Associate of Arts degree with an emphasis in art and offers courses which will transfer to a baccalaureate program at a four-year institution. It also provides professional training courses and programs designed to prepare students for immediate employment in the fields of photography, electronic layout and design, drawing and ceramics. In addition the department is responsive to the community's desires and need for lifelong learning opportunities in the discipline.
Community Ed's Intro to Painting and Drawing is offered Fall, Winter and Spring terms. Taught by Sandy Micheli, a student will be able to learn or sharpen drawing and painting skills working at a comfortable pace. This course (0-cr.) is offered Friday afternoons 1:00-4:30 pm.
