From one of the finest ceramics studios in the nation to an array of both vocal and instrumental performing groups, the TVCC Fine and Performing Arts department gives students the chance to experience the arts while attending college. Takami Art Gallery Show
This exhibit of art by Midori Komoto, a wife, mother and community volunteer who passed away in 2014, is on display, along with selected pieces by Pete Stark, longtime TVCC Art Instructor and Alice Voris, wife of Dr. Eugene Voris, TVCC's first president. The display will be available for viewing until August 16 during TVCC business hours.
Bands will have a concert Tuesday, August 14th at 7:30 pm in the Meyer-McLean Theater! Bands are directed by Carl G Sorensen.
New course this Fall!
Fine and Performing Arts offers TA 100 Intro to Theater Fall term. This course will introduce theater as an art form, a form of entertainment and a cultural phenomenon (this is not a performance class). Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays starting September 25 in PAC 107, 5:30-6:50 PM.
