2+2 Tech Prep for CTE
2+2 Tech Prep is a Dual Credit option for those students seeking an Associate's Degree in a Career and Technical field. At Treasure Valley Community College, our 2+2 offerings are a planned sequence of study that can begin as early as your freshman year in one of our partnering high schools. The 2+2 courses are designed to award college credit to the high school student for skills attained.
2+2 Credits must be earned through a TVCC partner high school and student must complete a TVCC Application for Admission. Individual course registration is completed through the high school instructor and there is no charge. 2+2 credits are Career and Technical courses (CTE), are included in the program associate degree as either CTE Core or Suggested Electives, and are not designed to transfer to a four year university, however some universities MAY accept the 2+2 credits as electives.
