Public Information Office

The Public Information Office assists campus clients with communication and media relations initiatives. We help develop, write, design and create cross-platform communication pieces -- all to strengthen and broaden the Treasure Valley Community College message. Our office helps maintain content for the College website and social media efforts, creates and distributes on-campus communication, and matches on-campus experts with media outlets.

President's Contract Renewed

President Dana Young's current three-year contract has been renewed by the TVCC Board of Education, extending her contract through June 2020.

Geology Class Takes Advantage of Heavy Snowfall

A Geology class at Treasure Valley Community College calculated the density of the snow on the ground in February, 2017, in Ontario, and estimated the volume of snow within city limits.

TVCC Caldwell Hosts Drone Certification Class

Budding commercial UAS drone operators who want to take their skills and business to the next level should take this course. Instructor Steve Edgar, who has more than 40 years' aviation experience, will expertly guide the class through ground school and test preparation, covering the 127 specific knowledge concepts needed to demonstrate proficiency on the FAA Part 107 Aeronautical Knowledge Certification Test.

TVCC Closed Jan. 9

Treasure Valley Community College will be CLOSED on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, due to continuing unsafe travel conditions throughout much of the area.

Library Closed for Repair

Due to water damage over the winter break, the library will not reopen for regular hours on Jan. 3.

Recycle Electronics at TVCC in January

Jan. 9-27, The IT department and Foundation at TVCC will hold an electronics recycling event. Bring outdated electronics to any of five locations on the Ontario campus. Pacific Steel and Recycling will donate the value of all recyclables to the TVCC Foundation.

TVCC Hires New Rodeo Coach

Drew Pearson, the new full-time rodeo coach and livestock manager at the college's livestock center found out he got the job Sept. 19, a surprise for the man who was one of 17 applicants for the position.

No access July 4th due to herbicide application

As part of the Integrated Pesticide Management efforts required by the State of Oregon, campus must be closed during widespread herbicide or pesticide applications. There will be no access to campus on July 4th in order to apply herbicides.
