Building Construction Technology Instructor
Jim began teaching at TVCC this past Fall (Fall 2013). In January he accepted a position as the Building Construction Technology program instructor at the Northwest Center (SRCI).
Jim received a four-year Journeyman Certificate in Carpentry, an AA from Lane Community College, a BS from the University of Oregon, an MEd from Idaho State University and completed all coursework and comprehensive exams for a PhD from Colorado State University in Community College Leadership and Construction Management.
His prior work experience included 20 years of projects as a Union Carpenter, Builder/Contractor, taught Construction Technology and Construction Management over the past 16 years.
Jim has always been involved in SkillsUSA and has had previous students place as high as 3rd nationally. He loves the water and the outdoors and all the activities associated with it. Most of all he loves his two daughters and two grandsons.
