International Student Admissions

International students seeking admission to TVCC must complete the following steps:

  1. A certified copy of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 500 paper based, 170 computer based
  2. Grade reports of all previous high school and/or college work.
  3. Evidence that the student can meet all college expenses.
  4. A scholastic record of at least a “C” (2.00) equivalent on the basis of the student’s own grading system.
  5. International students must be 18 years of age or older at the time of enrollment.


All records in a foreign language must include the originals accompanied by an English translation. When all the above forms and required information are received by the Admissions Office, the applicant will then be considered for admission. (An I-20 form will not be issued to any individual until all required information has been received and approved by the Admissions Office.) All students must enroll by the last scheduled day of registration of each term. Foreign students must register for 12 credits or more to be certified on the I-20 form.

All international and Federated States of Micronesia students will be required to purchase health insurance each quarter at the time of enrollment, or certify other medical coverage.
